Wilocate Logistics Completes Multi-Location Relocation and Distribution Assignment for Heifer International
In July 2026, Wilocate Logistics successfully completed a major multi-location relocation and distribution assignment for Heifer International, coordinating the sorting, packing, transportation, delivery, unpacking, reassembly and handover of furniture, office equipment and farm equipment across nine locations in Zambia.
The assignment required more than transportation. Wilocate worked with the client to identify what furniture, equipment and farm equipment needed to go to each destination, prepare the items for movement, coordinate multiple vehicles and delivery routes, and complete the receiving and setup process at the destinations.
Two Weeks of Coordinated Execution
Week One: Sorting, Packing and Preparation
The first week focused on preparing the assignment for distribution. The Wilocate team supported Heifer International with sorting the items according to their intended destinations, professionally packing and protecting furniture and equipment, identifying items requiring dismantling, and organising the loads so that each vehicle carried the correct items for its assigned delivery point.
This preparation stage was critical. With nine receiving locations involved, clear sorting and allocation before dispatch helped reduce the risk of items being sent to the wrong destination and enabled the delivery phase to run efficiently.
Week Two: Multi-Destination Distribution and Handover
The second week focused on distribution and delivery. Using multiple trucks and coordinated routes, Wilocate delivered the packed assets to Kabwe, Kapiri Mposhi, Luanshya, Kitwe, Mumbwa, Choma, Kalomo, Zimba and Chongwe.
At each destination, the assignment did not end when the truck arrived. Our teams offloaded the items, unpacked where required, reassembled furniture and equipment that had been dismantled for transportation, positioned the delivered items and completed a formal handover before moving on to the next assignment.

From Packing to Final Handover
The Heifer International assignment demonstrated the value of managing relocation and distribution as one integrated process. Rather than separating packing, transport and destination support into disconnected activities, Wilocate coordinated the movement from preparation through to final handover.
